Company History

Every day, Rutherford's solutions are used by over 420 organizations that wholesale and distribute beer, wine, spirits, soft drinks, water, snacks, candy, tobacco, dairy and other consumer and industrial products.

Founded in 1986, Rutherford has over 25 employees in North America. From 1986 through 2001, Rutherford designed and delivered its Rutherford SX direct-store-delivery solution to leading soft drink, dairy and snack food wholesalers, distributors and vending operators across North America.

From 2001 to 2003, Rutherford developed a completely new generation of integrated direct-store-delivery software called eoStar.

Launched in 2003, eoStar is a completely new kind of DSD solution. eoStar combines .NET and SQL Server technology from Microsoft with leading-edge route accounting and route management processes to deliver a "best-in-class" route accounting and route management solution for wholesalers and distributors. eoStar is fully-integrated from sales and delivery handheld and truck-based applications to the backoffice, to warehouse to your accounting system. eoStar is entirely Microsoft-based, affordable and easy to manage. The screens and navigation are intuitive and easy-to-use. And since it is entirely Microsoft based, it is the first real solution that could be used for the life of your company.

Rutherford is based in Holland, Michigan and is located approximately two hours north of Chicago. The firm is privately-held and serves clients across North America.
