One Stop Delivery – Handheld
One Stop Delivery is a time saving feature benefiting delivery drivers. Previously, drivers with handheld units had to collect separate payments and signatures for multiple orders going to a single customer. Now, with One Stop Delivery, multiple orders for single customers can be done all at once. This includes signatures, payments and adjustments.
ION Sales Tax Report
Sales tax reporting in eoStar was previously a SQL query that was customized for each customer. Now, users can leverage the simplicity and speed of Ion Reports to get the data they need to file their sales tax.
Dynamics GP Manufacturing Integration
Dynamics GP (Great Plains) is a business management solution software used to assist with the accounting and manufacturing processes. The eoStar integration with Dynamics GP now includes support for both accounting and manufacturing. The new Manufacturing Integration facilitates the communication of manufacturing order information between eoStar and Dynamics GP.
e-Enhancement Request Form
The Enhancement Request Form has been transformed into an online form. Instead of downloading the form, filling it out and emailing it back, you can now just fill the form out online and submit it directly to support. This submission alternative has proven to be a quicker and more convenient means for enhancement requests. The e-Enhancement Request form can be seen HERE.
Hot Shot Module
The new Hot Shot module allows for a more precise and efficient processing of quick, one time orders for certain customers. Order entry is done in the same location as all other order entry under a new ‘Hot Shot’ heading. This new form of entry allows for instant processing including performance of cuts and load generation. You also have the ability to print both pick tickets and invoices from directly inside the Hot Shot entry interface.
Advanced DX Training
Coming this December, an Advanced DX Reporting training course will be offered. Topics will include using groups, sums (by group or report total), creating calculated fields, and special filtering. There will also be an opportunity for users to ask questions regarding their current DX reports.
Keep an eye out for the training session sign-up email, which will be sent out soon.
Discontinued XP Support
eoStar will soon be upgrading to Microsoft Visual Studio 2012. While this upgrade will offer increased functionality and enhanced application abilities, the .net 4.5 framework is incompatible with Microsoft Windows XP. Therefore, all versions of eoStar that are released after the upgrade will be incompatible with Windows XP. However, all versions released prior to the upgrade will continue to run on XP based machines.
